Wrapped in Warmth

A couple weeks ago we took Emerson and Presley by GramMary's resting place.
I wasn't prepared for how emotional it was going to be. I know that she is with me watching over me everyday, I just feel it. It still breaks my heart that I lost her just a few weeks before Emerson came and that she never got to see and hold her.
She may be gone but she will never be forgotten and my girls will always know about Gram and the amazing person she was. As I sat at the grave that day and talked to her I also explained to the girls who was here I looked at Presley and said, remember GramMary you always gave her hugs and kisses. Presley then brushed some leaves away and gave her a kiss. As I watched Emerson and told her who Gram was and how she would have loved her she began to smile and in that moment I knew she was there. Emerson kept smiling and I knew Gram was giving her big hugs
In that sadness it was such a beautiful moment. I don't think you ever get over losing someone and I still think of her daily but her memory and spirit continue to live on and always will.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to one special Irish Lady!!
We love you GramMary!!

Little Miss Polite

I am always one PROUD Momma but today even more so.
Presley was climbing up on the couch with her cell phone,
when she dropped it.
Usually she will get down, grab her item and restart her climb.
The phone was within my reach so I grabbed it and handed it to her.
AND....
without me even asking she signed "thank you" with a big smile.
We always encourage our pleases and thank yous.
We ask her, what do you say when you want something and
she signs please and says "tees".
Then we give our thanks.

It is such a nice feeling when you don't have to ask.

God Bless.

Newborn Photo Shoot

I have been slacking with the updates lately but I wanted to share some
of the pictures we had taken of our family. I have over a hundred to choose from, it was hard
to limit it to 10.

Adjusting to life as a mother of 2 under 2 has gone well.
Presley is starting to throw the occasional tantrum here and there.
I do what I would have done if Emerson was here or not. IGNORE her.
She gets over it quickly.
Emerson is my big little girl. She weighed in at 11 lbs at her
1 month check up. She intakes much more than her big sister did at
this age. She is also awake much more than Presley was.
She does however make the same faces and the same little grunting noises.
Josh headed back to work this week.
It was wonderful to have him home for the first month.
My double stroller should be in next week so I can start going
on solo walks and even take some adventures out.

That's life as I know it...
